The Parent Venture: Autonomy-Supportive Parenting: Reduce Parental Burnout & Raise Competent, Confident Children

This event is part of the "Parents Under Pressure" series, responding to the challenges faced by parents as highlighted in a recent NY Times article by Surgeon General Vivek Murthy. As we strive for our children to take responsibility for their choices, we often intervene when they struggle, which can lead to feelings of helplessness. Clinical psychologist Dr. Emily Edlynn will present her framework of Autonomy-Supportive Parenting, aimed at fostering trust between parents and children. This event is open to parents, caregivers, educators, and community members, with free admission and Spanish interpretation available. The Zoom link will be in your Eventbrite registration confirmation. Sponsored by the Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation and the San Mateo County Office of Education in partnership with The Parent Venture. For questions, contact Charlene Margot, MEd, Co-Founder and CEO of The Parent Venture.
